Three Oaks is located off the A3020 at the northern edge of Newport. Newport boasts plenty of local amenities and services.

Local Community

Newport has a thriving community with plenty of local community centres and hubs hosting a range of activities.  The Riverside Community Centre Opens in new window is around a 20 minute walk from Three Oaks and regular events and activities run from here.

Health and Wellbeing

On Fairlee Road, a couple of miles from the development, there's 1Leisure Medina, a leisure centre with swimming, gym and fitness classes. Further South into Newport, you'll find The Gym Group, offering a variety of membership options.

Shopping

There's a Premier convenience store on the A3020 which runs past the development. Head south into Newport for a selection of supermarkets, including Lidl, Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsburys and Asda. 

In Newport town itself you'll also find restaurants and a range of other shops and amenities on the High Street.

Transport

As well as good road links, the site also benefits from good public transport and the Island Buses bus service is easily accessed. Stops at Parkhurst and St Marys connect to Cowes and Newport Centre. From Newport you can travel by bus to Yarmouth, Freshwater, Ventnor, Shanklin and Bembridge, with other connections and stops along the way. From Cowes, the Red Funnel ferry takes you to Southampton, connecting to further destinations on the mainland.

Education

There are several primary schools in the area; Hunnyhill Primary School is close by and other options include Newport C of E Primary School and Nine Acres Community Primary School. For older pupils, The Isle of Wight Community College is less than a mile from the development, The Island 6th Form College or Carisbrooke College are alternative options.

A Tops Day Nursery and YMCA Nursery are nearby and take children from 3-4 months to school age.
