Developing homes

As one of the most active developing housing associations in the UK, SNG’s Investment and Development team has a strategy to invest £7bn into new and existing homes over the next ten years.

We will make use of S106, land and partnership opportunities (with Homes England, GLA and PLC developers) to deliver around 2,500 new homes a year.

We have also identified more than 15,000 homes across our geography that will form our Retrofit programme; making improvements to the fabric and technology of homes to improve their performance and maintain their value as cost-effective, quality places to live.

Our Homes and Place Standard marks our commitment to building and maintaining good quality homes and better places to live. The standard scores every new opportunity and existing asset against customer, environmental and connectivity metrics; allowing us to make sure our customers have the best chance of a happy, healthy home, whilst guiding us toward Net Zero by 2050, across our entire portfolio.

Our Investment Strategy

Our Investment Strategy demonstrates how, by 2050, we can both grow and improve the condition of SNG’s estate of homes, so all are of a standard fit for the future.
