SNG completes 107 affordable homes in Loughton

We've just completed 107 affordable homes at Borders Lane in Loughton, Essex. SNG’s affordable properties were being delivered in partnership with Fairview New Homes as part of a wider 424 home project.

These include 65 apartments for Affordable Rent available for people on Epping Forest District Council’s housing register and 42 for Shared Ownership, all of which have now been reserved. The homes range from one bedroom to four-bedroom family sized houses and apartments.

The Borders Lane scheme is the first major project in our partnership with Epping Forest District Council as one of their preferred partners in delivering new affordable housing.

Matt Bird, SNG’s Regional Managing Director (London & East), commented: “It’s great to see this scheme reach conclusion and we look forward to seeing customers move into these fantastic new homes. Together with Fairview New Homes and Epping Forest District Council we’ve been able to deliver much needed affordable homes to this part of Essex.

Jon Millership, Director of Affordable Housing at Fairview New Homes, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with SNG and Epping Forest District Council on this development of high-quality homes and public open space for both our residents and the local community. We are passionate about providing much needed homes for local people and very pleased that residents can now enjoy the benefits of an exceptional development in a sustainable location.”

Cllr Nigel Bedford, Epping Forest District Council’s Housing Portfolio Holder Councillor, commented: “We’ve been working in partnership with SNG and Fairview New Homes on this project in recent years to deliver these much needed affordable homes. I’m really pleased to see these properties completed with many local families already settled in and the shared ownership properties also now reserved. I’d like to thank SNG and Fairview New Homes as not only have we been able to provide much needed good quality homes for people on our housing register, the shared ownership option has allowed people to get on the housing ladder and purchase a home in the Epping Forest district.”
