Nominations for our first ever Stronger Together: SNG Supplier Social Value Awards 2026 are now open! Find out more.
At SNG, we’re committed to creating meaningful social impact for our customers across our communities. Our Social Value team works across the organisation to measure, grow, and report on the positive outcomes of our activities as a business – and we support local organisations we're working with to do the same.
In 2024/25, SNG generated £140.6 million in social value across our communities through initiatives including:
- Supporting customers into employment and training
- Promoting financial and digital inclusion
- Providing debt advice and cost-of-living support grants
- Delivering environmental projects across our communities
This is the real difference a project makes - like helping people feel healthier, safer, more confident, or more connected, and making everyday life better.
This is a way to show the positive difference a project makes to people and communities by using money as a simple comparison. It helps explain how much of a difference has been made and how the benefit created compares to the cost of the project.
MMP is an online platform that connects our businesses and suppliers with community organisations to deliver local outcomes. All our Social Value delivery outside of structured programmes goes through the platform, which helps us track our total Social Value generated for our communities as an organisation.
How it works:
- Registered community organisations upload projects needing support - such as funding, materials, resources, volunteer time, digital devices, skills development, mentorship, or whatever they need support with.
- Registered businesses or suppliers browse projects and offer support based on available resources.
- Community organisations can accept or decline offers made.
- Businesses can also upload any support they have readily on offer.
Benefits:
- Better-resourced community partnersEfficient way for businesses and suppliers to meet Social Value and CSR commitments
Find out more and sign up to MMP here.
Please note this platform is only available to businesses, suppliers or community groups working in SNG Communities, but at present we are unable to accept local authorities, statutory bodies or non-constituted groups onto the platform.
In 2025, over £62k in funding and materials, as well as 200 hours of volunteering were donated to community groups in our communities through the platform.

If your organisation is working in one of our communities, we’d love to hear from you.
Please email us at socialvalue@sng.org.uk so we discuss how we can work together to measure and grow social impact.
If your organisation is outside our geography, please note that our support offer is designed to benefit our communities and the customers who live within them. For this reason, we currently only work with organisations that operate - or plan to operate - in areas where we have homes. If you’re not active in one of our communities, our support offer isn’t available currently.
However, if you're interested in expanding into a new area, contact our Community Investment and Strategic Partnerships team at community.investment@sng.org.uk.
For community organisations, we've created an information pack which aims to help community organisations we're working with along their Social Value journey. If you are working with us and would like a copy, please ask your local Community Investment and Partnerships Lead or email us.
For suppliers, we're working on a similar information pack which aims to do the same for our suppliers and businesses we work with specifically. This will be released later this year
We’re a small but mighty team led by our manager Debs Williams. Our three Social Value Specialists are spread across our geography and work across different localities:
